I Am an Artist and Creator

In my opinion, being an artist is as simple as creating something that did not exist before with the intention of communicating an idea. With this very broad definition, we are all artists in some form, just by being and interacting with the world. We might not always think of ourselves as artists, though, and this Mantra is meant to bring that identity front and center with purpose. This is a great one for finding that little boost of creative confidence when you’ve hit a plateau in a project, are feeling like you’re stagnating, or for getting past blank-page phobia. The image has been simplified to contain the words “Do it.” Really- just make something. . . anything! It also depicts a bow and arrow aimed at a target, representing the intentionality, and potential energy of the arrow ready to fly. You might also see a harp shape, bringing to mind Apollo, the Ancient Greek God of archery, music, dance, and poetry.
